Involved in pig behavior and wellness research, welfare assessment, stress related behavior,  non-invasive indicators of stress, implantation of intravascular ports for continuous blood profiling, surgical implantation of catheters, induction of general and local anaesthesia, pain management, RIA, physiology of stress, blood profiling, design and administration of surveys, preparing project proposals, protocols, ethics approval, logistics, documentation, oral presentations, review of literature, preparing research publications, and mentoring students. Developing and maintaining SOP’s and procedures for the research station. Participate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of research studies. Collect data and develop data collection instruments and procedures; train and supervise data collection personnel; design, organize, and implement project database; analyze data, collaborate on reports and publication of findings.
