I am a professor of psychology in the Department of Behavioral Sciences at York College of the City University of New York where I teach upper-division psychology and interdisciplinary courses and direct the college's Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
My scholarly interests include the ways in which genetic technologies are altering conceptions of disability, the social and diagnostic construction of contested illnesses, and the institutional change produced by higher education faculty engagement with constructivist pedagogy.
