Welcome to the website of Deadbird Productions! We are a duo of RPGMaker MV users that are working to develop our first game. Please bear with us, the site is brand new and still heavily under construction. We create resources, we have tutorials, and now, a demo of our game:
I've had a few major set-backs in Development, but I am still working. Allow me to elaborate:
To give you some context, I live in Texas and we are currently in the middle of our monsoon season. It has been flooding in some areas of the state, and raining a lot. Basically this time of year it storms all the time. I also suffer from both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, both of which makes your joints ache when the weather is bad. As if this time of the year wasn't bad enough, something really terrible happened. I almost lost my project completely.
So...I had a major crash that got into my main hard drive, primary backup, and even my secondary backup when the apartments next to ours were struck by lightning about a month and a half ago. Thankfully no one was in the other apartment and no one was injured, but I did lose a lot of work when the power surged. I was using a Surge Protector, but that much energy being discharged that close to the device went right above and beyond what it was designed to take. Roughly two months of work gone, poof. I had to start my computer from a restore point a good ways back, wade through driver issues and a host of other problems just to get my computer working again.
I have finally recovered the project using a third party recovery program, and am taking a short break while I order my thoughts and get myself mentally prepared to resume working.
As you can imagine, even though I have recovered the work that I've lost, there are a lot of my plugins that need updating, new plugins to install, and an RPGMaker MV update has come out. Additionally I've been writing the story content during this time, so I have to get my mind back to a place in the early game.
I thank you all for following this project, it is by no means dead, and I look forward to bringing you more content soon.
Have a wonderful day, and if you're gaming may all your loots be phat!
Have a good one and if you're gaming, may all your loots be phat!
Hey guys, it is time for another Mapping Showcase, this time for Veunamir, the Holy City. Veunamir is another area in the Nadir desert where the Elves are trying another method to bring water to the sands, this time by using aqueducts and hanging gardens.
Also, a huge thank you to the Rpgmaker.net Community for their feedback and bugtesting, you guys are awesome!
Enjoy, and as always, have a good one and if you're gaming, may all your loots be phat!
It seems like you guys enjoy the mapping showcases, so here is a two in one video. I take you through Minduin Mines and Kharal Garrison, two areas that will appear in the upcoming chapter of Clarity's Edge.
As always, have a good one, and if you're gaming, may all your loots be phat!
I should have done this update a while back, but I've uploaded a lot of videos and been working a lot on the next chapter of the game.Enjoy all the videos!
As always, have a good one and if you're gaming, may all your loots be phat!
I wanted to create a lighthouse as one of the coastal landings for Clarity's Edge because Avery from the RPG Maker Web Community made a beautiful lighthouse. So, having finally remembered to turn on Camtasia, I started mapping and then I speed it up really fast! I hope you enjoy.
Actual Mapping Time: 45min
Clarity's Edge features a upgrade-able Fortress similar to the Suikoden and Dragon Age games. As the next chapter of the game nears completion, I wanted to show you guys what's coming and how to make a Fortress with Party Members that pop up based on who is in the Active Battle Party, Shops, and a few other features like a Teleport System.
Quazar - Hybrid Song
Daft Punk - Something About Us (Henry Homesweet Remix)
Electric Children - Pills and Needles

Over the last week, based on feedback, watching some playthroughs (Thanks again Drifty, Necessarily, and Dutch!), and just looking at other games, I set to work on a massive overhaul to Clarity's Edge. Below is the list of what has been changed.
It also helps if you are as specific as possible about the bug, because the first thing I do is replicate it unless you call it perfectly and I know where to look in the events or note tags or plugins, etc. Basically it saves me a ton of time.
Tonight we have a couple more bugfixes. If you find a bug, I will credit you both on the site and in the ending of the game. So hunt those bugs like they're secret and elusive Pokemon!
Please, please, please post bug reports on the Demo Download page or email them to: email@example.com
Fixed a few typos. - Discovered by Drakon
Fixed a bug that caused the Message Rows to display incorrectly after viewing the Controls Charts. - Discovered by Drifty
Fixed a bug that caused selecting Cancel on a Quick Save to not Fade the Screen back in. - Discovered by SquallStorm
Fixed a battleback displaying incorrectly in one of the interiors of Ivallion. - Discovered by Drifty
Fixed the X and IX being reversed on the Time HUD. - Discovered by Hedylogos
I've also added a Changelog to the Demo Download page.
The Clarity's Edge Demo / Open Beta has begun, please read on for more details.
For the best graphical experience, turn on Reflections in the Options menu, I have it disabled by default because it can lag lower end machines.
I apologize for the large file size, there are maps, characters, etc that are already built and in the background of the project file but not playable yet. So I would be forced to manually remove them one by one. This does mean that future releases shouldn't grow in size very much.
This is the Windows Version of the Clarity's Edge Demo / Open Beta. The Mac version will be uploaded soon.
If you have difficulties Installing the Demo, then please update your Java to the latest version and right-click the Installer and "Run as Administrator".
If you have problems saving your progress, then it is because you need Administrator rights to create files in the Program Files folder. Simply right-click the Game shortcut and "Run as Administrator", then shake your fist with quiet rage at Microsoft.
If you'd like to report a bug or a typo, or leave us a comment, please use the "Report a Bug" section on the Demo Download page or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for playing, and I hope you all enjoy!
Anything that you see here is not for use as a resource. All of our free to use resources can be found here: Resources or located via the link in the top bar. We don't want to see our story, maps, or characters appearing in other games as they are very near and dear to us. Additionally, there are many Resources from different people housed in the project and you would not have the proper crediting information for them, if you like their resources though, they can be found through their respective creators blogs or forum posts. Thank you for your consideration, happy gaming, enjoy game making, and have a great day!
The Demo for Clarity's Edge is pretty much done! Hooray! We appreciate your patience and support,
We're going to do some internal Playtesting tonight and tomorrow to make sure everything is in tip top shape and release it to one of my friends in the RPGMaker MV media on Sunday so he can make a video.
We'll release the Demo to the public on Monday, Tuesday at the very latest.
