OUR LADY IS INCREASINGLY SAD!

Our Lady's increasing sadness, as She continues to appear in Medjugorje, may be a poor omen.
As the world becomes more and more immersed in sin, we are coming closer to experiencing the wrath of God. Still, by our prayers and sacrifices, we can mitigate God's punishments, bring a smile to Our Lady's face, and bring peace to the world. The choice is ours.

           Medjugorje

In 2006, the 25th anniversary of Our Lady's apparitions were marked in Medjugorje. The six seers, a quarter of a century ago, were just children. Today they are mature adults. Each one has established a family with children and, as they did years ago on Mount Podbrdo, all continue to assert Her messages to the world.
Six of the seers experienced the daily apparitions from June 25, 1981 until Christmas of the following year. From that day on, they see Our Lady with varied intensity and in different ways.

          Significance Of Those Dates

Till now, three of them continue to see Her daily, and the other three periodically. Among the latter, is Mirjana Dragicevic Soldo, who reportedly has an apparition of Our Lady on the 2nd of each month, as well as on March 18th on Mirjana's birthday.
However, Our Lady does not do that just because it happens to be the date of her birth. Mirjana said that the symbolism of these particular apparitions, and those at the beginning of each month, will some day become very clear.
Mirjana said, "Our Lady appears to me in this way since 1987. These apparitions are more like a prayer for those who has have not yet recognized God's love. While much about the apparitions is the same, lately, much more frequently, I see Our Lady very sad. From time to time, She even has tears streaming down Her cheeks, in particular for those who still have not recognized God's love. All of us are Her children . . . the believers and the unbelievers."
Mirjana, who after these apparitions appears quite drained, said, "It is extremely painful for me each time I see Her profound sadness."

          The Mysterious Parchment

All the seers know the secrets entrusted to them. However, Mirjana also has in her own possession a parchment (made of an unknown substance) on which all the secrets are inscribed. When will the secrets be revealed to the world? Except for the seers, no one else knows.
However, what is known is the name of the person who will disclose them. Mirjana has selected Father Petar Ljubicic to reveal her secrets to the world when the time comes. After fasting for seven days, Father Petar will disclose the contents of the secrets three days before each one of them is to be fulfilled . . . in other words, before the event contained in a particular secret actually occurs!

Three Visionaries Still Receive Daily Apparitions

I once read that Mirjana said that her secrets will begin to be revealed when only one Medjugorje visionary is still seeing Our Lady. Ivanka Ivankovic Elez and Jakov Colo no longer experience daily apparitions.
The three visionaries who do continue to receive daily apparitions no longer have Medjugorje as their primary residence. Ivan Dragicevic lives with his spouse in the United States, and only spends a portion of each year in Medjugorje.
Marija Pavlovic Lunetti resides with her spouse in Italy. It is from there, on the 25th of each month, that she relays Our Lady's message to the world.
Perhaps the most prominent among them is Vicka Ivankovic Mijatovic. She is now married and resides in the neighboring hamlet of Krehin Gradac.

          Medjugorje & Garabandal

Until now, perhaps the most intriguing of the secrets is the third one, the one pertaining to a great and mysterious sign.
This secret refers to a sign that Our Lady will leave for the world to see, in order to confirm the authenticity of Her apparitions. The sign will be visible, permanent, and indestructible, and will be left on the hill where She first appeared 25 years ago.
Previously, in the 1960's to four children, a sign was also promised to be left at Garabandal, Spain, when in the future, "the greatest miracle of all time" will occur there.

          The Answer From Our Lady

Prayer is the answer. Do you have a regular prayer schedule? If not, how then can you expect to continue to receive God's blessings. If you care about your own life and the future of your children and grand-children, you MUST pray.
Otherwise, when God's wrath comes, we are obliged to understand that it is our own fault, because we did little to stem the tide of evil that is presently permeating the entire world. the saddest thing about it, is that the remedy is so very clear!
Our Lady at Garabandal told the children that when the Warning occurs, the sins that we will see most predominantly, are our sins of omission, that is, spiritual sloth. What we will regret the most is what we did not do!

Fatima & The Five First Saturdays

Ask yourself, "What am I doing to remove the sadness from Mary's Heart?" Our Lady in Fatima gave us the formula to make Her smile and to obtain peace in the world: participate in the Five First Saturdays. However, too few people are doing it. It is not difficult, but we are often too uninformed or too slothful to make the effort.
On December 10, 1925, Our Lady appeared to Sister Lucia in the Dorothean convent at Pontevedra, Spain. She promised Her assistance at the hour of death with all the graces necessary for salvation, (read that again . . . it means no hell!) to all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, do the following things:
1) Go to Confession (within eight days)
2) Attend Mass and receive Holy Communion
3) Pray five decades of the Rosary
4) Keep Our Lady company by meditating for 15 minutes on the Rosary Mysteries.

          But Most Important . . .

But, most important (and this is the omission), ALL of these four must be done with the intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Many individuals forget to make this intention with each and every one of the four above requests of Our Blessed Lady, and thus, they might not fully merit the promised reward. This is especially true of daily communicants. They mean well, but they simply forget to make the intentions.
The intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is a necessary stipulation of Our Lady and Our Lord, to truly fulfill the Five First Saturday requirements.
Our Lady promised that by doing this, we can bring peace to our souls and to the world. Jacinta of Fatima said, "God has entrusted the peace of the world to Our Lady."
Unfortunately, it seems that too few are fulfilling Our Lady's requests accurately. The tide of evil, like a green slime, continues to spread over all the earth. To prevent this, we need reparation.
John Haffert, in Soul Magazine, said that, "The First Saturday devotion is so important that we might well wonder if fulfillment of the basic conditions of Fatima for world peace (sanctification of daily duty) might be impossible without the practice of the First Saturday devotion.
In a book on the First Saturdays (Tequi, Paris, May 13, 1985) fr. Coveliers points out that the First Saturday devotion is a great act of love not accomplished easily.
"The time we dedicate to Mary on the First Saturdays is a 'strong' time, and difficult to accomplish perfectly just on the spur of the moment. the devotion of the First Saturdays cannot be authentic if it is not the fruit of a constant attitude of the soul pervading all the days of our life," he says.
We need to know and understand that where evil weighs down on us, we can mightily tip the other side of the scale with reparation.

We Must Take Prayer and Reparation Seriously

Mary comes to us in many places in order to save our souls. Don't we love God, Her, ourselves, and our family enough to pray and make reparation? God and Mary, and all the visionaries everywhere, tell us that this is the sure formula!
Our love is so cold. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to set our hearts on fire, and begin again to put God and His interests in first place in our lives.
Start with asking yourself this most important question: What time am I going to Mass tomorrow? and then plan your day around that blessed hour. Then watch your life and the entire world change for the better. The victory is already won by Christ, but let us be a greater part of it. Let us participate more actively in God's plan for our salvation and for peace in the world.
The efforts of even a few souls can change the world for the better. Much depends upon what YOU do . . . daily Mass, daily Rosary, and the Five First Saturdays. Many other favorite devotions are also spirit-filled and very rewarding. Think about it; change and pray.

THE LAST HOMILY

OF Fr SLAVKO BARBARIC O.F.M.

Given on the morning of his last day on earth, November 24, 2000,
at 9.00am Mass in St James’ Church, Medjugorje.

THANK YOU!

The unity of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Almost every message of Our Lady ends with the sentence, ‘Thank you for having responded to my call’. I have often asked myself, whom does Our Lady give thanks to, who is so important that she comes down from Heaven to say ‘Thank you’ to that person? She does not expect a lot from us, but she sees everything good we have done already and that is why she thanks us.

FORGIVENESS

Let us also ask God's forgiveness for all that was not good, where selfishness, jealousy or arrogance prevailed in the past, so that, by our prayer and fasting, we may help in the dawning of a new time; as Our Lady said in her last message (25th October 2000) I would like to say quite consciously, together with Mary, once more ‘Thanks’ to all who have answered her messages in their own special way. It is always good to know, time and again, that Our Lady cannot do anything without our help! When we heard her ‘Thank you’ for the very first time, we were somehow taken aback, for we are used to ask God for everything.

Of course, there is nothing wrong in expecting everything from God, to ask and pray to Him, the Almighty One – but there is a message coming back to us, saying: ‘I need you, you are important to me, I cannot do anything without your help!’ We often cannot comprehend this, but it is truly a fact. God wanted each and everyone of us, at our time, in our own surroundings, where we live. He wanted us and He has bestowed certain talents to us, which He wants to develop and make grow in us by His grace, so that we may serve Him by using our talents.

CRITICISM

Everyone who, by using his or her talents, serves, loves, believes and hopes, is helping and respects others. We all are essential, in our time, at our place in our life, where God has decided us to be. I have often said this to people who criticise others a lot, or to those who believe they themselves would have done better had they been in God’s position. If God would have thought that you would have lived and served better at a different time or at a different place, then He would not have put you where you are now, but at that other place. Never say ‘I’ in God's place, but rather open your eyes and ears to your time and to your neighbour with whom you live. This is your very first task; this is where you are irreplaceable; this is where you are important for God and this is where God cannot do anything without your help. In that way we experience God's love and, His love, that same love reaches others through us.

GOD NEEDS US

When we receive consolation from God, it is only right to give it to others and – this we can only do at the time, at the place where we are just now. Only there, and now, can we do God's will and He cannot do anything without our help. Mary has succeeded in one thing during these 19 years and 5 months: Many people, who thought it sufficient to attend Holy Mass on Sundays only, have become very active in their religious life through the messages. That is why we can say today ‘Thank you’ for all the people across the whole world, who consciously spread the messages, with Our Lady's and other's help.

A Croatian monk, a missionary who spent his time in India, once told me that every Saturday night and evening programme like the one in Medjugorje is being celebrated not just in one parish, but in several. This is another reason for Mary saying in her last message, that she thanked God and is delighted that so many people have come here during this Jubilee year and that the Church has been spiritually renewed.

I believe we still must change quite a lot ourselves, for instance, to be able to see the Church and our families with the eyes of Mary. We are often inclined to judge and to complain about people and our time when we look at the world around us. Of course, there are a lot of problems. But Mary looks upon this world with different eyes than we do. She sees the good, however small, however insignificant. She recognises it and is grateful for it.

GRATITUDE

Gratitude is the best guideline in education. When you want to educate someone, you must first look at the good inside that person; however insignificantly small it may be. Then you must try and visualise how the individual could be and work on that together with the person. If we are blind to these things we only see the negative aspects; things that are imperfect; things alien to our momentary fancy and so we can get cracking with our criticism; we condemn and reject.

Mary, on the other hand, only sees the good things in this world. She also sees what could be better, and right there she begins with her teaching. Read the messages! They are positive and they give hope, they are encouraging. In the same way, Mary has awakened the positive power within us and that is why we thank her.

The one who follows Mary has no time to criticise. Mary gives us courage to do something even where we might believe it might disturb, or not be good, or be too much for us. Only in this way can Mary, together with her Son Jesus, enter the third Millennium. Therefore, thank all the people in the world who follow Mary, who visit us untiringly, who organise pilgrimages without ever getting tired.

Let, as Mary says, a new dawn arise, a new springtime. It is not springtime in a calendar sense, but it is springtime of a new decision. Let the New World begin, where we believe it is outdated, contaminated and destroyed. When you decide to love God and our neighbour as yourself and when many besides you do likewise, then the new time has arrived. Amen.

WITNESS BY VICKA IVANKOVIC-MIJATOVIC

Given 22 September, 2003 at Bijakovici, Medjugorje

The talk was recorded and transcribed by Phil Townend

In the words of a translator:

First of all Vicka would like to greet everybody here. We are going to say one prayer together, one Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be. And after that Vicka is going to share with us Our Lady's main messages; those that Our Lady is giving for all of us.

The main messages of Our Lady, those that she is giving for all of us are prayer; peace; conversion; confession, and fasting. And Our Lady recommends to all of us to pray every day all three parts of Rosary. And She also recommends that we fast twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays, bread and water only. In a special way Our Lady is asking from us to pray and to have very strong faith.

And when Our Lady is recommending to us to pray, it doesn't mean that she only wants us to pray by lips and using words. Our Lady is recommending to us from day to day to open our hearts, that our prayer can become a real joy to all of us.

And Our Lady gave us one beautiful example. She said: All of you in your homes would have one flowering plant. And if you are watering this plant every day, putting a few drops of water, you'll see that this plant will be growing, and pretty soon you will have a beautiful rose blossoming. It is same with our hearts. If you put into our hearts every day a few words of prayer with the heart, our heart is going to be growing and developing in the same way that this plant was. And if you don't water this plant for a couple of days you will see that pretty soon that this plant will be dying and it will look like it never existed before.

Very often it happens to some of us that when prayer time comes we try to find different excuses, saying we're tired today, we'll do it tomorrow, or next day; and then when the next day comes we find different excuses saying we'll do it another day, so little by little we put prayer away from us and then it’s kind of letting all those bad influences affect us.

Our Lady says, in the same way that this plant is not able to live without water, we are not able to live without God's graces. She says prayer of the heart is something that you are not able to study or learn how to do. You can only live that, step by step, and making progress every day.

When Our Lady was asking from us to fast, She also says: for all the sick ones who not able to fast with bread and water only, they can plead and make their own way of fasting, making little sacrifices themselves. But Our Lady says there are many healthy ones who try to find different excuses, saying when they fast they get headaches, they get sick. What is really missing there is their strong will to do it. Once we decide to do it out of love for Our Lady and Our Lord, then nothing is going to be difficult and impossible for us.

Our Lady wants our complete conversion. She says: Dear Children, all of you when you have problems, when you have illnesses, all of you think and believe that Jesus and I are far from you. But Our Lady says, no, they are always very near us. But we need to open our hearts, and after that we will realise how much they love us all.

Our Lady also would like us to make little sacrifices. But she would be especially pleased if we would give up sins, if we wouldn't commit sins any more. She also says she is giving us her peace and her love, so that we can bring this peace and this love to our families and our friends.

She is also giving us her blessing and is praying for all of us.

Our Lady says she would be especially happy if we would renew prayer of the Rosary in our families and in our communities. But she is the happiest when parents pray with their children and children with parents, because only when we are united in prayer, Satan is not able to do us any harm.

Our Lady keeps reminding us that Satan is always there trying to disturb us. In a special way he wants to disturb our prayer and our peace. She recommends us to make our prayers stronger; and the strongest weapon against Satan is Rosary beads in our hands. She is also recommending to all of us to have something blessed with us all the time, either a small medal or cross, something that would help us to defend against Satan.

She also recommends that we place the Holy Mass at the very first place in our lives, because these moments are very important, the most important and the holiest. Because during this time the living Jesus is coming to us. Our Lady would like us to be especially prepared so that we are able to receive Jesus with great love and without any excuse.

She also recommends monthly confession, and she says: when you go to confession don't just go because you have sins to confess; you can also ask your Priest for advice during the confession so that you can make one step further after that.

Our Lady is also very worried and preoccupied about all the young, about the youth in the world, because young people are living in a very difficult and very serious situation. And we can only help them with our love and prayers of the heart. Also, she says: Dear young people, whatever this modern world is offering to you, everything is so temporary. And you can see that Satan is using every free moment for himself trying to attack us and in a special way he is trying to disturb young people and families.

Our Lady also says that these moments and these times are times of great graces, and she would like us to accept these messages, and to live them in our daily life. She also says that we need to pray for our peace and for the peace in the world. But first of all she is asking from us to pray for peace in our own hearts, then for peace in our families and in our communities, and once when we have this kind of peace we are supposed to pray for peace in the world. And Our Lady says when you are praying for peace in the world and at the same time you don't have peace in your own hearts, that prayer is not so powerful.

Our Lady recommends that in this special time we make our prayers stronger, and that we pray for her intentions and for her plans. And that we pick up a Bible every day and read a few verses and try to live those words during the day.

Our Lady also recommends that we pray for the Holy Father, for all the Bishops and Priests, and for all our Church because our Church is in great need of our prayers. But in a special way Our Lady is asking from us to pray for one of her plans that is supposed to be realised.

But Our Lady is very worried that we are concerned about the young people, about the youth and families, because they are in a very difficult and very serious situation. And Our Lady is saying to us that She is praying for peace, and so She is asking from all of us to join her in prayer for this same intention, and to pray together with Her for peace.

And during tonight's apparition Vicka says she is going to pray for all of us, and she is going to recommend all of us to Our Lady, but also at twenty to six, when she sees Our Lady, we need to open our hearts and present to Our Lady all our desires and wishes.

We just had one request here, and I'm sure all of you would be interested in that: Vicka is going to describe the experience that she and Jakov had, when Our Lady took them to see Heaven, Hell and Purgatory.

They were together at Jakov's house when Our Lady came and she told them that they were going to go with her, and Jakov thought once they had gone up there, they were not going to come back! He told Our Lady: Well, Dear Our Lady, why don't you take Vicka because she has more brothers and sisters and I'm the only child of my parents!

Vicka says they were thinking how long is the journey going to take, how many days or hours, whether we are going to go up through the sky or down through the ground. But Our Lady just took me by right and Jakov by left hand and she just took us with her.

The ceiling just opened to give us enough space to go through, and in one second we arrived in Heaven. And we were able to see that it is one huge endless space, and there is a special kind of light that does not exist on the Earth at all. We were able to see people. They looked the same. Tthere were no heavy or skinny ones. They were dressed in pink, yellow and grey gowns. They all were praying, singing, praying together, and there were small Angels circling around.

Our Lady told us to have a good look, and see how overjoyed, happy and content are those who are in Heaven. There is a special kind of joy that does not exist on the Earth at all.

Purgatory is also one huge space. But in Purgatory we were not able to see any faces or people, it was very dark and foggy in there. But we could feel that people were suffering in there. Our Lady told us that people there are expecting and waiting for our prayers, so that they could go out of there some day.

As for Hell, it is also one huge space. First we were able to see a big fire there in the middle. And we were able to see people before they were being caught by this fire and afterwards, and as they are being caught by the fire they become forms of different animals and they look like they were never human beings before.

Our Lady told us that all those who are there, it was their choice, their decision, their way of life to get there. And she said that all those who are living on the Earth and who are living against God's will and God's commands, even here they live a kind of hell, so when they get there they just continue with the same.

Our Lady also says there are also many people on the Earth who believe that when this life is finished, when we die here, that everything is finished. And Our Lady says that if you think this is so, you are very wrong, because we are just passers-by on the Earth.

Vicka is going to spend some time now in prayer, praying like a blessing and prayer for all of us together in silence, instead of praying over two people at a time – there are too many of us – because there are other groups coming, Romanians and French, that would like to hear Our Lady's message. So she would like to ask us to be united in prayer now for a couple of minutes, and during this time she is going to be praying for all of us. At the end we are going to finish, praying together one Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be.

(There followed over twenty minutes of silent prayer by Vicka).

Queen of Peace, pray for us.
