Daniel S. Dinsmoor, Ph. D.

About Dr. Dinsmoor

“I like to work with children and adolescents in the context of their families. This means that even though we may meet individually, I usually like to spend equal amounts of time talking to parents as well as their children. The general goal of this approach is to improve the goodness of fit between the expectations of the child, and the expectations of the parent. This makes it possible to work collaboratively in the resolution of problems.

I have experience in working with children with Bipolar disorder, severe ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Aspergers, Autism, OCD, and adolescents who self harm. I am often very successful in working with treatment resistant adolescents. They usually feel I am a non-judgmental person whom they feel free to talk to.

I have over thirty years of experience in working with children, adolescents, and their families in outpatient, and hospital settings.”
