a 4 hour bus ride to Washington DC,
and daily rides from Queens to Manhatten (the core of NYC). Total in NYC round 500 Kilometers.

I have been just visiting two of the Museums at the Smithsonian "Museum Mall": Museum of Air and Space and the Museum of American History.

I have been riding a while with a Canadian biker.
When, we have exchanged directions, we are going, he said: “you are going to a very mountanous area…, you may expect hundert of climbings….” So, I remember this guy now!

New Millford – to Norwalk (via the busy city, and partly riding on freeways, of Danbury)
At Norwalk, I have taken the train to NYC.
Train went to Grand Central station NYC. Have taken the Metro (7 Flushing line), changed train at Queensborough Plaza to W train heading downtown Queens. Left train on Broadway.
Riding on freeways is too dangerous
Distance: 75 miles, 120 Kilometers
Night: I have been arriving at Karen Steels home.

the usual daily ride to NYC
passing Queensborough bridge bike path.
On 61 street to Central Park and further on on 7th Avenue, or Broadway to Times Square, heading West to the Hudson River bike path. Often I did the tour to the end of this path: where the Harlem River merges with the Hudson River. Passing the little Red Light House underneath the Washington bridge.

Bus leaves at the Penn station, heading for Bethesda (Washington, DC)
Walk at the governmental mile (White House, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument)
