DCCX is the only cyclocross race in the nation's capital, and over its eight-year run has grown into one of the largest races on the East Coast. Last year the race added two huge changes: it went from one day to a full weekend of racing, and it added CrossHairs as a sponsor. CrossHairs, which runs the popular Svenness website, joined DCMTB as one of the two clubs putting on the race. The race was run one direction on Saturday, and the opposite way on Sunday.

The year, the races are scheduled for Oct. 24th and 25th

This year the mid-Atlantic's biggest race is stepping it up once again. DCCX is joining the
USA Cycling Professional Cyclocross Calendar.

What does that mean for you, local racer? We are still part of the MABRA Super 8 Series and we'll still have the full slate of events for beginners, masters, juniors and women. So, your racing should remain the same A+ experience. But, since the race is on the pro calendar, we are hoping to get a deeper field for the elite races. That's going to make the spectating for the afternoon races incredible. (All with the refreshments you have come to love at DCCX.)

So, who is back for 2015? Well, we are working on that. So far we know that our long-time sponsor Family Bikes will be a part of the event. And Oskar Blues will be back as our beer sponsor. We also have every indication that the DC Dutch Club will be serving their delicious ``poffertjes.'' All we need to add to the mix is you!

Please remember to bring a valid, government issued, photo ID with you for free admission and parking at the event.  Additionally, food and beverages will be available for purchase.  No dogs, please.  Service animals are OK.
