Bio and CV

Welcome to my website!

I'm an David M. Rubenstein Fellow at the Brookings Institution's Global Economy and Development program. I'm also an associate at Harvard Center for International Development, as well as a research affiliate both at CESifo Group Munich and IZA Institute of Labor Economics.

My research sits at the intersection of international economics and economic development. In particular, I focus on the diffusion of technology within and across borders, as measured by productivity, structural transformation, exports entrepreneurship and innovation, among other factors. Lately, I've been focusing on the drivers of this process, with special emphasis on migrants and refugees, and more broadly, human interaction.

I completed a Ph.D. in Public Policy at Harvard University in 2014.
