My chief interest is metaphysics, but I also have a major interest in moral philosophy and have published in a number of areas including philosophy of mind, philosophy of religion, and philosophical logic, among others. I have written books on metaphysics and ethics, and my latest book, The Metaphysics of Good and Evil, is due to appear at the end of 2019, published by Routledge.

What's new:

De putativa quadam virtutis privationum causalis demonstratione (mox ut edatur, Studia NeoaristotelicaMMXIX)

Tyron Goldschmidt nuper non-tractationem quandam typis edidit, qua ipse virtutem causativam privationum se credit demonstrare. Quae non-tractatio non est nisi pagina vacans. Est quidem haec non-tractatio ingeniosissima, et primo “aspectu” “lector” sane persuaderi possit, privationem verborum in pagina demonstrare entia negativa posse proprie causare motus animi ut mirationem, destitutionem et similia. Accuratiore tamen analysi sollers Godschmidtii non-tractatio non solum verbis, set etiam virtute causali carere ostenditur. In immensas difficultates metaphysicas inciderimus, si oppositum concesserimus.
