About Therapy

I adopt a psychoanalytic approach to therapy; meaning that I help you to become more aware of how hidden or unconscious thoughts, feelings and conflicts may be affecting you in your everyday life and relationships.

Through the process of therapy you will come to develop more insight into yourself and your present difficulties. This will enable you to find new solutions to current concerns and to make more informed choices about how you live and relate to others. The symptoms which initially bring you to therapy will be relieved as a result of this process.

The presenting problems, or symptoms, that people bring to therapy may vary, but can all be explored within this evidence based therapeutic framework.
