About Therapy

Sessions take place once or twice weekly, normally at the same time and day. We will agree this at our first consultation and I ask you to commit to regular attendance, which also means paying for any missed sessions. This is important for continuity and for you to get the most out of your therapy.
Through the process of speaking your mind freely and through your interactions with me, you will come to develop more insight into the way that your mind works and develop the capacity for changing the established patterns that prevent you getting more from your life.
As a result, the symptoms which initially brought you to therapy will be relieved. The symptoms, or presenting issues that people bring to therapy may vary, but can all be explored within this evidence based framework. (NICE guidelines verify that Psychodynamic Therapy is equally as effective as CBT)

What patients have said:

"Though I found therapy hard and challenging at times, I have become a calmer and saner human being with more insight and more trust. I cannot express to you enough how grateful I am and how much you have helped me." (AH)

"I experienced bullying from an early age which shattered my confidence and made me feel as if I had lost my voice.  Through my therapy with David I learnt how to manage my emotions and build my self confidence. I now feel more balanced and much happier in life. One of the best decisions I ever made." ( MD)
