I am a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the University of California, San Diego. My research centers around congressional elections; examining issues of voter behavior, television advertising, and the race/ethnicity of the candidates.  My dissertation focuses on the persuasive impact of television advertising in congressional elections. My work focuses on understanding the underlying mechanisms and effects of campaigns and candidates on voter behavior. I employ a combination of observational and experimental data to help answer these questions.
