Hi - I'm Dave Denkenberger. Thank you for visiting my homepage.

I am an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at University of Alaska Fairbanks. I teach on building energy efficiency and do research on energy, including my patented microchannel heat exchanger.

I am also an Associate at the Global Catastrophic Risk Institute (GCRI), a nonprofit think tank that engages in research, education, and professional networking in areas related to global catastrophic risks. I also co-founded the Alliance to Feed the Earth in Disasters (ALLFED) to implement preparedness for global catastrophes.

I hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from University of Colorado at Boulder (2010), an M.S.E. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University (2005), and a B.S. in Engineering Science from Pennsylvania State University (2002).
My personal interests are hiking, reading and inventing.
