Infant School Atlas
Ideas for Adults l Interview with the Authors l Reviews

A new Atlas from Philips for children age 5-7 years by David Wright & his daughter Rachel Noonan (an Open University Honours graduate, teaching Assistant at her local Primary school, and mother of 3 young children who have tried and tested - and suggested - many of the ideas in this atlas!)

Publication date 9th March 2009

From 'Message to Adults' on page 2: '....This is an atlas for young children to enjoy. We can't tell children everything about everywhere, but we can take them to some amazing places..... The numbered balloons on the maps allow the children to find the places on each map. Every numbered balloon has a corresponding picture and text about that particular real place..... As well as beautiful photographs and illustrations, we have included lots of wonderful postage stamps: real messages from real places! There are messages on the flags we have chosen too.'

On this website we have included some Ideas for grown-ups - things to find, do and talk about to help the child you share this atlas with to explore further.
