David Killick in Lake District

As a lifelong lover of hills and mountains, I have organised outdoor experiences ranging from half-day ghyll scrambles in the English Lake District to three week back packing in the Californian Sierras. I have been an active member of the Fell and Rock Climbing Club for over twenty years, and am a highly competent companion in a range of outdoor environments. In addition to all areas of Britain, my international hill and mountain experience includes: the French and Italian Alps, Romania, Norway, Slovenia, the Sinai, the Spanish Pyrenees, the Japanese Alps, Jordan, the Dolomites, the Californian Sierras, and plateaus and slot canyons of Utah.

I have worked as an academic and academic developer in higher education for over twenty years, and have developed expertise in academic staff development and consultancy services with a particular emphasis on internationalisation of the curriculum and the student experience. My work has involved researching, publishing and developing academic practice, leadership and strategy for the home campus and in overseas contexts across transnational education (TNE) provision. I have delivered workshops, conference addresses, and consultancy services in the USA, Australia, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Japan, Taiwan, China, and across Britain. Please see related links below for further details of my academic c.v.
