The Quantum Optics group is based in the Department of Physics at Bankura Sammilani College, located in West Bengal, India. The group specializes in the field of Quantum Optics, with a specific focus on Ultra-cold atoms. The group is dedicated to exploring and understanding the phenomena associated with ultra-cold atoms, aiming to unravel mysteries that are typically challenging to observe in their original context. By working with ultra-cold atoms, the group can investigate various branches of Physics and gain insights into fundamental principles and phenomena. Apart from Quantum Optics with Ultra-cold atoms, the group is also involved in other areas of research, including Analog Gravity Models, Quantum Chemistry, and Quantum Plasmonics. This broadens the scope of their investigations and allows for interdisciplinary approaches to studying complex physical phenomena. Through our research and exploration, the Quantum Optics group at Bankura Sammilani College strives to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of Quantum Optics and related disciplines. Our work has the potential to uncover new insights and pave the way for future developments in these cutting-edge areas of Physics.
The group has currently opening for a summer internship position for bright and motivated students (UG and PG both) to work in this field. Interested candidates may refer to the following advertisement: Apply
