Hello and welcome to my website. I am an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at Beloit College in Beloit, WI. I teach business management economics, experimental economics, introduction to business finance, principles of economics and sustainable agricultural management. My research focus is on agricultural productivity and markets and development. Current papers I am working on focus on credit access, increase in off-farm work, climate change, use of direct marketing channels such as farmers markets and debt forgiveness. In addition, I am interested in examining factors affecting agricultural production, sustainability, and economic growth in developing countries. My research is mostly empirical working with both cross-sectional survey data and state-level panel data.

Prior to joining Beloit College, I was at Washington State University (2012-2016), in the School of Economic Sciences, where I completed my Ph.D in Economics and Masters in Statistics from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. I received dual Masters in Agricultural and Applied Economics and Environment and Natural Resources from the University of Wyoming, bachelors in agribusiness from Africa University. Further, I studied abroad as a visiting exchange student for a year at Kalamazoo College.

I enjoy engaging with my community, working out, and being involved in different sporting activities such as playing soccer and racquetball. Off-late, I have started complementing reading research papers with books and I plan on being more active in my non-academic writing.
