In Partnership with Doug Barnette and Family

This free event is a charity softball evening consisting of a three game series between members of the Danville Fire Dept., the Danville Police Dept. and soldiers from the Wounded Warrior Project. There will be food and beverages available throughout the event. Each person attending will receive a ticket to be entered into several door prize raffles along with other donated prizes raffled off with the proceeds going towards the Danville AMBUCS chapter’s AmTryke program.  At the conclusion of the three slow-pitch softball games, there will be a fireworks display.

The Danville AMBUCS chapter’s AmTryke program helps people with different disabilities become more independent and helps them improve their motor skills, strength development and self-confidence. The AmTrykes can be hand and/or foot operated and are designed to accommodate riders of all ages and sizes with varying degrees of physical limitations.   The Danville chapter of AMBUCS partners with Provena United Samaritan’s Medical Center, the Danville YMCA, the Vermilion County VASE program and the Danville High School Adaptive P.E. program to be evaluation sites for their AmTrykes.
