I love Shakespeare and have seen many versions of Macbeth and his witches, so this was a very enjoyable exercise: to create a present-day setting for the three ‘weird sisters’.
Double, double, toil and trouble! - who knows what modern mayhem they conspire to create? But I think I’d have to smile if I came across this motley trio on a street corner anywhere.
They may be weird, they may be witches casting evil spells, but they look like they’re having fun – and Macbeth had better watch out!
All paintings are in acrylic on canvas (mounted on a rigid support) and framed.
