The Biostatistics Team was a team of the Epidemiology and Biostatistics INSERM Research center, within Bordeaux Public Health School. The team was involved (up to 2013) in the MOBIDYQ project which aimed at developing and making available methods for dynamical biostatistics models. This work gave rise to two books, one in french and one in english (see publications).
In 2016 the team splitted into two teams in a new INSERM research center, the Bordeaux Population Health (BPH) Research Center. One team kept the name of Biostatistics, the other is called Sistm. The Biostatistics team, led by Hélène Jacqmin-Gadda, develops dynamical models for epidemiology. The Sistm team led by Rodolphe Thiébaut, which is also an INRIA team, works on mechanistic models, especially for the HIV infection, and also develops activities in statistical genetics and in immunology. I am currently a member of both teams.
