Enthusiastic and versatile young Irish composer and arranger, with a 1st class
honours in Music from Queen's University, Belfast. I write in a variety of styles,
from contemporary concert hall to brass band, music for film, game, and other media. Over the years, I've become experienced at arranging for all kinds of ensembles.
I have had pieces performed throughout Ireland, Britain, as well as places further afield, such as Portugal and the USA. I've had the privilege of working with performers from Philharmonia, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and the Plane Dukes Rahman Trio, vox merus, the Dublin String Quartet, Izumi Kimura, David Bremner, Lioba Petrie, Ilse de Ziah, etc.
I have received two Foundation Scholarships from Queen's University, and won the Hedy King Robinson Prize for music theory in 2007. I'm returning to study for an MA in Composition at QUB in September 2012.
As well as composing, I enjoy playing piano and chamber music.
