FUTSAL The FAI organise an annual tournament at Gormanstown for Boys and Girls from 3rd and 4th classes. The game originated in Brazil and is said to improve the close skills of the players. Season 2013-2014 The Boys team just failed to progress from the group stage, winning two, drawing one, and losing one game, while the Girls qualifies for the final by winning all their games. Unfortunately they fell at the last hurdle. See pictures of the teams by clicking here. Season 2011-2012 Dangan Boys and Girls perform Well. Dangan boys and girls teams went to Gormanstown on Tuesday October 4th for the Meath Futsal Final Tournament run by Mark Scanlon of the FAI. Eighteen teams competed. Both our teams won their section. Dangan Boys reached their final where they lost by the Golden Goal in extra time to Kildalkey. Our Girls reached their semi-final where they went down by a single goal to Kilcloon. Both teams, featuring boys and girls from 3rd and 4th classes only, can be very happy with their performances. Here are some pictures taken on the day:     |
