Our Junior Infants are not mixed with any other class.

1.    We are located close to Summerhill in very spacious grounds. We have our own football field, basketball court, and PE hall. There is ample room during break for all children to play together.

2.    All our classrooms are equipped with the latest technology, including computers, i-Pads, and Interactive Whiteboards. We can stage shows in our own hall with our own lighting and sound system. We are safely connected to the Internet, with a robust filtering system in place.

3.    We have a library which is very well stocked with books for all ages and reading levels. Sometimes we have multiple copies of popular books!

4.    Our brand new senior classroom opened in December 2012, and is equipped with state of the art lighting systems. Our toilet facilities and heating system have been also upgraded over the last two years.

5.    We have a very hard-working Parents' Association. Among many other activities, they run the school's Book Rental Scheme. Pupils partaking in the scheme receive all their schoolbooks at the start of the new school year, saving their parents a lot of work.

6.    We have a proud sporting tradition in Dangan School, fielding boys and girls teams in Gaelic Football, Soccer, Rounders, Cross-Country and Athletics, Showjumping, and also in Boys Hurling.

7.    Every Christmas our school choir partakes in local choral events, and it also provides the musical backdrop to many important school events, such as Confirmation and Communion. All the pupils participate in our Christmas Carol Services and Christmas Shows, which take place alternatively every second year.

8.    Young Junior Infants starting in Dangan School are sometimes 'buddied up' with pupils from 6th class in their first few weeks, if the teacher thinks it necessary (we find, though, that the new children fit in very quickly usually).
