Kim and Shana from the Parents Association organised this competition in the Spring, and the prizes were awarded on Friday October 12th at an assembly in the School Hall. The flowers were judged on height, head-size and colour. Entries were accepted in photo form too, as some sunflower plants were too big to be brought in to school. Here is Jamie from Senior Infants whose sunflower measured 10 feet 10 inches - a whopper. Jamie unfortunately left this photo in his schoolbag and it wasn't entered in time! Luckily, the organisers are taking care of him.
