I just sent out the Webex invitation for the STS-AIChE technical meeting next Thursday, April 7. It went out under Gary Gildert’s name, as he is the account owner. If you are on the invite list you should receive a copy. If you haven’t received a copy and want one, please let me know.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MEETING TIMELINE HAS CHANGED FROM THE ORIGINAL SCHEDULE, AND THE MAIN PRESENTATION WILL NOW START AT 7:30 PM. Here is the revised timeline:
7:30: Main Technical Presentation, followed by Q & A
8:30: Announcements & Awards
If this is your first experience using Webex, I recommend that you install the software before the meeting. You should be able to do this by following the link you receive in the invitation. Also, when you join the meeting you will initially join the Webex video conference. You will then have to select an audio option. We strongly recommend that you use the VOIP option rather than the phone option. Not only is this much more flexible; it also costs AIChE a whole lot less. The VOIP option sends the audio signal through your computer. If you are meeting with a group, make sure you have a suitable loudspeaker attached to your computer. You will also need a large screen for your computer, or else a projector and screen, big enough for your audience to see the webcast. If you would like to run a live test on your system before the meeting (Highly Recommended!!) let me know, so we can schedule that.
I hope you’ll be able to join us for the meeting. Gary & I both plan to be in attendance, so if you need technical assistance on the night you can either contact me (713-823-3980) or Gary (281-433-4283).
