Rewrite Your Life

Rewrite Your Life

I don’t know about your life but my life has had lots of good and bad, ups and downs, things I do not like that happened to me and things that I’ve done to others.

We all have our proud moments and our other not so glorious moments.

I came up with this philosophy or mantra that might help us all.

“Rewrite your life.”

I recently wrote my life story and a mass of events that comprise my life.  My parents divorce, growing up with a single mom, visiting my dad every other weekend from the time I was about 6 – ALL BY MYSELF riding on a Greyhound bus an hour or more between cities until I was age 17.  That alone was torture.

Since my mom was single and had to work there were countless sitters (some good, some not so good) and all the abuses I’ve suffered from both sitters, plus mom and dad.  Plus the men she dated that I had to accept.

Change of custody led to being in a dozen different schools, living in 4 different towns and cities, being so transient that I did not have many friends or if I did, not for long.

So if I concentrate on the positive experiences, my achievements in spite of my circumstances and acceptance for what was gives me the opportunity to become a greater person than those who raised me.

I chose to “rewrite my life” and give myself kudos and much needed affirmation to my turbulent world of my growing up years.

I encourage you to also “rewrite your life”.  Focus on those things that helped you, which you overcame, that you tackled head on and were able to destroy the abnormality in your life and create normality in your chaotic universe.
