Losses, Gains and Wins

Riddle me this.

When is a loss a win?

Think and think hard.

A body in motion tends to stay in motion, while a body at rest tends to stay resting (and going nowhere).

Now are you in motion?

Are you doing?  Are you attempting?  Are you practicing for that big day when you have made it.

All the little steps you are taking now are affecting your tomorrows.

So take a step.  Every failure or loss, is a gain.  Each failure or loss has a lesson to be learned and if you don't see it that way then you will not turn those failures and losses into gains and therefore, into a win.

As Edison said (paraphrased) when a filament failed and someone remarked on it.  He said that that filament was not a failure just ruling out what did not work until he eventually found something that worked.

Perseverance my friends is the key.  The determination to take those things that do not work and turn them into things that work.

Keep writing and practicing and making it until you have it made.

Another hint, you never will make it, you will keep moving forward from one state to the next and constantly move forward and stacking achievements on top of one another.

Achievement is pushing and taking those setbacks and using them to help you achieve the next achievement.

This article is another Think Piece by David Alan Binder.  I wrote this on the fly (usually I write these articles days in advance and then let them percolate in my mind and ensure they are written precisely.  Forgive the spontaneous-ness and look for the meanings I have intended.)
