Chasing approval

Chasing approval

Are you chasing approval?

If you fail to do "this", then "that" happens.  So you do it.  Wait a minute.  Who told  you to do this?  Is it necessary to you, for you, to do "this"?  Who says?

So much of our life is in control of other people.

I’m not saying you don’t have to have some approval, just do it on your terms.

Question everything!

Sort through the requests, demands, orders, etc.

Do those that are required.  Do those that are necessary for your survival.  A job, eating, exercise (yes, exercise is extremely necessary unless you have a fountain of youth in your back yard) breathing, meditation, and doing those things that are conducive for your peace of mind.

I believe if we are chasing other people’s approval, in order to get awards, acceptance, other rewards, or achievements then possibly we need to check OUR motivations.

Our motivation should exist within ourselves not others.

Part of the fulfillment thing (if you remember a previous article I wrote on Fulfillment.)
