This exercise will take some thought on your part.  It is participatory.

If you don't have time then come back to this later when you have at least 5 or 10 minutes to spend on this exercise.

Close your eyes after reading this and think about all that you are doing right now.  Probably sitting and you are breathing and your thoughts are randomly coming into your head.

What thoughts came into your head?

It does not matter, they are just thoughts and emotions are the same way.  They just exist.  No thoughts or emotions are good and bad of themselves.  They just are.

Just like you are not good or bad in this moment you are just reading and thinking about this and other things.

Realize that in this period of time that we call now.  There is no good or bad.  There is no right or wrong.  There is no success or failure.  There is only you and me and breathing and thinking and comprehending.

You just are you.  The same way when you were 15 you were you.  And you are the same you that you were at the age of 15 and any other age you care to pick and think of.  You are you.  And yet you have changed since you were the age of 15.  That is neither good or bad.

What is good?  What is bad?  It does not exist here the current present moment.  It is just out there.  The same with right and wrong.  The same with success or failure.

In this present moment those things (good and bad and right and wrong and success and failure) are all constructs.  They are definitions that others have put upon us and maybe weighed us down with.

Right now you are not a failure and you are not a success.  You just are.

No matter what you have achieved or not achieved is not important right now.

So dedicate yourself to not thinking about the realms of success or failure or right or wrong or good or bad or any of the descriptors that people like to place upon us.

We are, we are beings and we are perfect in this moment and time.

So go forth and continue being perfect in this moment and the next and the next.

You are the perfect you because you are you.

That alone.  Those words make me feel good and should make you feel good and worthwhile and a force to contend with because you are being in this moment.

Whatever emotion you feel is not good or bad, is not right or wrong, and is not out of place.  Emotions just are and we are allowed to have emotions.

You are an emotional being.
