A Mixture of Ideas

A Mixture of Ideas

Steven Pressfield says:

“Write what you don’t know.

Pick the idea that’s craziest.

Write the book you can’t write.”

Or how about before you go to bed, concentrate on aspects of writing, like:

A fantastic plot line

Or

An idea that will catch fire in your mind to expound upon

Or

A Theme that will propel and compel you to write about

Or

A Dream that has the trappings of a fantastic story

It is all about focusing your attention on what you want, then using your subconscious to push that idea around until you have the nebulous or fulcrum or spark or explosion within you.

Something to think about.
