My research focuses on the role of social interactions in ecology and evolution. I define social interactions very broadly--I am interests include parental care, social parasitism, social dominance, species interactions and group living. Much of my work involves intensive field work on birds combined with innovations in quantitative approaches, particularly with network analysis.
