Welcome to my website. I am a professor in the accounting department of the Tippie College of Business (primary appointment) and the College of Law (by courtesy) at the University of Iowa. My research focuses on shareholder litigation, financial reporting fraud, corporate law and governance, capital market regulation, directors' and officers' insurance, and accounting standards.

 My education includes a J.D. from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a Ph.D. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois. Links related to my academic work follow.
