8. The Cast‎ > ‎

Rex Slocombe

Rex Slocombe (d. 1964)
, whose last name was sometimes spelled Slocum, was a magician in the All Clear show. Known professionally as the Talkative Trickster, he was active in the Toronto area before and after the war.

His name is mentioned in many Toronto-area newspapers including the Aurora Era and the Newmarket Era. He is also credited with creating the illusions Milk Miracle and The Knot in the Silk.

For some years Rex owned Happy Hazzard, a ventriloquist's dummy created by brothers George and Glenn McElroy from Ohio. No mention is made of Happy in the All Clear documents so it is not believed that be was a featured cast member.

We'd love to hear from you if you can provide information on any of cast members in the All Clear show
