Dr. Krishnamurthy, H.

H. Krishnamurthy obtained his PhD from the Manipal University (formerly known as Manipal Academy of Higher Education), Manipal, India (1997) in Radiation Biology. From 1997 to 2001, he underwent postdoctoral training at the Institute for Reproductive Medicine, Muenster, Germany: Institute for Clinical Research, Montreal, Canada and University of Iowa, Iowa, USA. Later, he moved to Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, Columbia University, New York, USA as Associate Research Scientist and Managing Director of the flow cytometry facility. At present, he is working as Scientific Officer 'E' and in charge of Flow Cytometry and Confocal Microscopy Facilities at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bangalore, India. His research interest is hormonal regulation of spermatogenesis and trafficking and signaling of gonadotropin receptors. He has served The Cytometry Society, India as general secretary (research) and education committee of the International Society for Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC). He has hosted 9th and 11th Indo-US Cytometry workshops in Bangalore and participated in other workshops organized by the Asia Task Force of ISAC.
