Cynthia Pittmann holds a Ph.D. in Literature from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras where she is also an Assistant Professor at the English Department in the College of General Studies. She researches and writes in the genre of autobiography, creative nonfiction, and poetry. She is published in Umbral,Sargasso, La Torre, Festschrift, In a Sea of Heteroglossia, The Indelible Heart, En Mis Words: Spanglish, and BridgesTransforming Visions into Words, among others. Currently, she is writing a memoir about the murder of her mothers.
