Six Legs, Three bikes, 3500 miles and just 5 weeks to play with.

After two succesfull bike rides cycling the length of Britain, we are actually considering doing America. I must confess however, that I (Matt), did not partake in the second ride from Lands End to John O'Groats but we shall be doing this ride again as part of our training before we Cycle America.

In a moment of madness while watching The Long Way Round where Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman ride their BMW R1150 GS Adventure motorbikes round the world, I have a brain wave!! Some may say it was just a headache or wind maybe, but I was inspired. I immediatley thought back to my ride from John O'Groats to Lands end of 2006 with Steve and Keith. Remembering the team spirit that we had most of the way down I felt sure that we should do it again, but this time much much bigger.

The idea is to cycle from the west coast of America, most likely San Fransisco to Boston on the Atlantic Ocean. This will be an estimeted 3500 miles depending on the route we decide on. We have got lots of things to think about and arrange and the idea of this site is to encourage the people of the world to give us their views, hints and tips, and hopefully their support. We aim to start our ride in April 2009.

We aim to raise money for Martin House who provides care and support to families in which there is a child or children with a short life expectancy. Our inicial hopes are to raise £20,000 for this charity that needs £3.6 million each year to keep helping the children and families of Yorkshire.

Please take your time to meet the guys by following the links on the left and be kind enough to leave any advice you have.

We cannot afford to do this trip without the help of people out there,so please do what you can to help us help the Children of Yorkshire
