ACM Pune is glad to host the ACM India Regional Event on Cyber Security.

While physical security - in general - is very visible, security in electronic communications is largely invisible. Any security challenge is much more harder than breaking it. The challenge of security in the cyber space is further exacerbated by the algorithmic base of computing systems. In principle you need to know all the weaknesses of all the algorithms so as to build the defence system. This is what makes the problem extremely  hard.This challenge must be met cooperatively by various components of our society. People ranging from battle hardened on field practitioners, to intellectually strong researchers, and also a well aware teaching community need to come together to address this challenge. We at ACM India decided to offer a platform for such a diverse group of professionals to come together, interact and move on to develop approaches to address this problem.
