Program Overview

Cybersecurity is a new field of study focused on protecting computers, networks, data and information, and programs from unauthorized or harmful attacks. In support of the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) program, the University of the Virgin Islands with the support of CECOR (Consortium Enabling Cybersecurity Opportunities & Research) partners will engage K-16 students with basic knowledge related to cyber security related activities and prepare them with abilities and skills to be able to protect critical infrastructures and information.

The program is funded from the Minority Serving Institutions Partnerships Program of the U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration and the  CECOR partners.
