Soap Making

Many years ago, my husband taught himself blacksmithing.  This art seemed to come naturally to him and today he is much sought after among his Mountain Men friends.

While I know how to sew, quilt, and crochet, I can knit one and pearl two, but don't know anything else about knitting.  My latest interest has been in learning how to drop spin roving.

To learn more about wool I visited two places in my area:

Settlers Farm and Parideaza Farm

From Parideaza Farm I purchased a huge bag of raw wool, wool batting, and beeswax.  I am on a list for sheep lard/fat to use in my soaping making.

The owners of both places have been very helpful and willing to teach what they know.  I am sure they would appreciate hearing from you.
