Black, Baxter Cactus Tracks and Cowboy Philosophy Cactus Tracks & Cowboy Philosophy is an anthology compiled with short and true stories about Baxters' friends and experiences of his own, and Baxters' own poetry. This book is funny, and does make fun of some topics/people, but not in a bad way. Anyone who likes to read funny and true stories, and also like poetry, should read this book. Cheyenne Miller
Brashares, Ann Three Willows I loved this book! It was about three best friends that become a little distant during the summer, but of course came together at the end. It was an easy read. Cabot, Meg Airhead This is actually apart of a series. I loved this book. It is a fantasy book, but it seems like it could happen. Em Watts a smart girl gets hit by a big tv just as super star Nikki Howard does and in order to save Nikki's career, doctors put Em's brain in Nikki's body, saving Em and Nikki's career. Its a crazy book, but its really good.  Kaylee Grindrod

Luckily he also takes you through a process to create your own effective workouts. Noah Jones

Collins, Suzanna The Hunger Games The Hunger Games is about a girl, Katniss, who volunteers to take her sister's place in the Hunger Games, since getting called to be in the Hunger Games is basically like a death sentence. Collins, Suzanne Catching Fire This is the second novel of The Hunger Games. Peeta and Katniss aren't speaking because Peeta actually thought Katniss was in love with him, but Haymitch wrecked it because he practically told Peeta, Katniss was just using him so they would both survive the Hunger Games. Just as the Hunger Games are coming around again, the Quarter Quell comes and that determines what special will happen at the Hunger Games every 25 years. Since this is the 75th one, it so happens that all the surviving victors of every district must go back into the games until the last one's standing. Alena La
Collins, Suzanne Catching Fire This is the second novel to The Hunger Games and it is filled with intensity. Peeta and Katniss aren't speaking to each other because Peeta found out Katniss was using him to survive the Hunger Games. He really thought she was in love with him, but Haymitch basically told him that Katniss was just using him. Peeta then becomes friends with Katniss again just as the Hunger Games come around this time and because of the Quarter Quell, all of the chosen victors surviving must go back into the games and fight until the last one's standing, once again. Alena La
Collins, Suzanne The Hunger Games The Hunger Games takes place in America after "the world ended". During the hunger games, representatives from areas called districts are called upon to fight each other.  Becca Wright
Collins, Suzanne Mockingjay This is the third book of the trilogy The Hunger Games. It's filled with intensity as Katniss is the head of rebellion since her first action of rebelling against the Capitol. She is working with District 13, a supposedly destroyed district, but now that everyone knows it exists, 13 is trying to get all the districts to rebel against the Capitol. I highly recommend this book to anyone that like adventure and the first three books. Alena La
Crichton, Michael Congo Congo is a science-fiction novel based on primate research in the Congo of Africa. The characters were a little flat and the plot was simple. However, to counter those, the writing was very good and I learned many real-life things from it (Native tribes and their cultures, zoology, etc). Becca Wright
Cussler, Clive Medusa The story follows Joe Zavalla and Kurt Austin, two government agents, attempting find a lab that has been moved by terrorists, which contains research that may ultimately save the world. As they attempt to find the lab, they are confronted by the shrinking space of time, and by a triad funded by millionaires. If the lab isn't saved, a super flu may wipe out the world. Anyone who enjoys sci-fi, I recommend this book for you. Daryl Griffiths
Dessen, Sarah Someone Like You Like most of Sarah Dessen's books, this one is about a teenage girl who is trying to make it through high school. When someone dies in a motorcycle accident, everyone is affected, especially Scarlett, the girlfriend and a best friend of Halley. Halley starts hanging out with a boy named Macon, and her mother does not approve of it. Not only does Halley have to deal with balancing school, her mom, and her new boyfriend, but she also just found out that Scarlett is pregnant with Michael's baby. The book shows that when someone is going through a hard time, they need a friend. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys teen fiction and/or Sarah Dessen! Brittany Born
Dessen, Sarah Along for the Ride Auden is a girl who decides to spend the summer with her father before going to college. Along the way, she meets new friends and learns how 'hang out with them'. She also meets a boy names Eli who has many things in common with her, including insomnia. Because Eli and Auden don't sleep much at night, he decides to take her out almost everynight to a diner he enjoys. Many things happen during that summer; Auden learns from Eli how to ride a bike, and they both break open their shells to eachother and opens up a relationship. Brittany Born
Gibbons, David The Tiger Warrior This book is about a marine archaeologist named Jack Howard and his team of scientists. They travel along the silk route and find a shipwreck off the coast of Egypt. Their discoveries lead Jack to mysteries of the ancient past and also to his own family history. Ingrid Rumbaugh
Goldman, William The Princess Bride The Princess Bride is the novel in which the movie, the Princess Bride, is based off of. If you like the movie, then you'll love the book. The characters are very well written and the book gives much more insight to the movie and why things happened the way they did. The vocabulary was just right, save for made-up words, and all ages could read it.  Becca Wright
Grant, Michael Hunger This is the second book after Gone and the plot is still the same, except now, kids are dying everywhere and there's hungry people everywhere. The kids are running out of food and because there are so many mutations, animals are harder to catch, but some people changed too. Preston, Richard The Hot Zone I know whoever is taking Ag Science has to read this book, but I'd recommend those who aren't taking Ag to read this book as well. The Hot Zone is about a thread of virus' called Ebola and it's affects on society. Richard Preston does an excellent job of giving you details on the stages of this deadly virus. You will be disgusted at some points, scared at some points and i can almost guarantee you wont want to leave your house for a couple days after reading this book. If you want to read a thrilling story and you don't mind a little gore (or a lot), i suggest you pick it up at the library tomorrow. Alexis Shockey
Reichs, Kathy Death Du Jour This book is of the mystery/crime scene genre. It is the first in the Temperance Brennan series. That writing can be a little dry at times, but for the most part, the vocabulary was just right and real-life scientific facts were accurate.  Rebecca Wright
