Final Exam

The final examination is scheduled for Wednesday, January 23, 2013 during block two in the LMC computer lab.  School requirements specify that a final exam must count for 10% of each student's course grade.  You will have only one attempt to complete the exam.

  • SHOW ME THE RESULTS! -- Your full results will be available online after your teacher has scored all of the essay responses.  You will need your login credentials to view your final exam results.
Avoiding Plagiarism

Before you take the quiz on avoiding plagiarism, you must first watch the "Avoiding Plagiarism" instructional video on Safari Montage/ScoutTube using your network login information to access the video.  You may watch the video and take the quiz as many times as you need, but you will not receive credit for either the quiz or your I-Search paper until you have achieved a score of 45 points (90%) or higher.

Romeo and Juliet UNIT EXAM

You may take this unit exam up to two times with only the higher score being recorded.  This test is open book/notes, but there is a 70 minute time limit.  You should complete without assistance as many questions as possible before referring to your resources.

Adventures of Tom Sawyer UNIT EXAM

You may take this unit exam up to two times with only the higher score being recorded.  The testing widow is open now through Friday, April 13. There is an 82 minute time limit on this test, but you may take it as many times as you wish, with only your highest score being recorded.  NOTE:  If you choose to submit your essay responses on paper, you MUST turn them in before the end of the day on Friday.  No essays will be accepted after the deadline.

Animal Farm UNIT Quiz

You may take this unit quiz one times as an alternative to the unit project. There is a one hour time limit on the quiz which includes 20 multiple choice questions and five short essays.

A.C. Doyle and Sherlock Holmes UNIT Quiz

You may take this unit quiz two times, but only the final score will count (You must do better if you take the quiz a second time). There is a one hour time limit on the quiz which includes 20 multiple choice questions and five short essays. Copy and paste IS allowed on this quiz, and so you may wish to write your essays in a word processing application and then copy them to the text box.

The Killer Angels UNIT EXAM

This unit exam includes three essay questions plus matching, true or false, multiple choice and multiple correct question types covering the plot, characters, and themes, and author's techniques in Michael Shaara's The Killer Angels.  Refer to your student learning map for this unit as you prepare.  You will have 82 minutes to complete the exam in class on Friday, October 26.
  • PRACTICE FOR THE TEST!
    • This is a review game that uses most of the actual unit test questions in the style of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire."  Questions are random, and so you may need to play the game many, many times to see them all.  If the game will not run on your iPod, iPad, or iPhone, click "Play the HTML version."

A Tale of Two Cities UNIT EXAM

This unit exam includes three essay questions plus matching, true or false, multiple choice and multiple correct question types covering the plot, characters, and themes of Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities, as well as historical and biographical connections.  You will have 82 minutes to complete the exam in class on Friday, September 21.

Course Procedures Quiz

This quiz has 37 questions and is worth an easy 50 points because you may use your notes and your course handbook, AND you may take it as many times as you need before Friday, September 8.  Only your highest score will be recorded.

    • The secret word for this quiz is SUCCESS.
    • You may take this quiz an unlimited number of times before Friday, February 8.  The highest score you achieve by that time will be entered into Skyward.
