Updates, Reminders & Announcements

Meeting Location for Dec meeting (see note below for future meetings)
Meetings are held at the Stafford Middle school. Map of the meeting location: http://tinyurl.com/bq6p84p
Doors open at 5:30, meeting starts at 6pm

Our next Guild meeting will be December 11, 2019.
  • December program will be a holiday social night with a 12 ½” Block Contest and dessert splurge.
Please make a 12 ½” unfinished quilt block containing a minimum of dark blue and light blue fabrics and bring to the guild meeting.

  • Please consider bringing a small plate of cookies or favorite dessert to share and your own beverage while we socialize and browse the display of quilt blocks. While the votes are counted, the quilt block creators will be asked to share a few words about their block (ie. technique used, tips or suggestions, where you got the fabric, etc).
Quilt blocks will be donated to the Community Outreach Program to be incorporated into charity quilts.  This is a great opportunity to try a new technique or experiment with a new tool.  Let’s grow as quilters and share our experience with others!

The November Newsletter is now available.

NOTE: Starting in January the guild will hold its meetings at a new location:
130 Arizona Ave, Plattsburgh, NY 12903
This is the Clinton County Mental Health and Addiction Services Building.
See the Google Map.

What should you know about quilting and copyright?

Check out the article by Nancy Prince: Copyright Do's and Don'ts.
She covers answers to questions about taking photos of quilts, selling quilts made from patterns, and when and how making copies is legal and when it is not.
