Important information from the Art Expo Leaders
March 2nd
Hours for intake of all artwork - Friday morning from 9 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Latecomers will be turned away as all hanging must be finished in time for judging.
Please be advised that there is no room to store wagons, bags, wrapping material etc. on Friday as the bathrooms have been reconfigured. Please take everything with you and bring it back on Sunday.
March 4th
NEW Procedure for take down on Sunday afternoon: (We have changed the procedure in order to avoid last year's pushing, shoving and irate tempers )
Show ends at 4 and everyone leaves the party room. Designated volunteers will take all work down and place each artist ‘s work together in their section. Artists may pick ups their work according to the following schedule:
4:30 Beginners, Exhibition only, and winners whose work will be displayed in the gallery
4:45 Professionals
5:15. Intermediates
5:45. Advanced
Artists will be admitted according to the color on their name tags. We ask that you respect the time schedule, as we will do our best to enforce it.
Every artist will sign out his or her unwrapped work at the door. Tables will be provided OUTSIDE the door near the theatre to wrap/pack,etc.
If you are picking up the work for someone else, please have an authorization signed by the owner.
Additional Information
Nobody is to interfere with the volunteers hanging the paintings and nobody is to move pictures that are hung! The penalty is eviction of the artist and their work.
Volunteers are needed to sell raffle tickets! This is our "bread and butter" event that funds the scholarships! PLEASE give us an hour or two. Call Maxine (954-312-7764)
to give her your preferred time slot.
RECEPTION - The reception for all artists and volunteers will take place on Saturday evening at 6:30. Please have your ticket!
