Summary   Each cub scout pack is under the supervision of the Pack Committee.  This committee consists of a minimum of three registered adult members in which one of them takes on the roll as the Pack Committee Chair.  The Pack Committee Chair organizes and chairs the Pack Committee.  The Pack Committee is the lifeblood of a successful Cub Scout Pack which depend on active parents participation.  Our scout program would be limited and our Scouts would be missing out on the fun.

Responsibilities Responsibilities of the Pack Committee include but not limited to;
  • Make recommendations to the chartered organization for final approval of pack leadership. 
  • Recruit the Cubmaster and one or more assistant Cubmasters with the chartered organization's approval.
  • Provide adequate and safe facilities for pack meetings.
  • Coordinate the pack's program and the chartered organizations program through the chartered organization representative.
  • Help with Pack charter renewal.
  • Help stimulate the interest of adult family members through proper programming.
  • Establishing and funding a Pack budget.  Supervise finances and equipment.
  • Work closely with the Cubmaster.
  • Ensure that all Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos Scouts receive a year-round quality program.
  • Complete pack committee Fast Start Training and Basic Leader Training for the position (located on Scouting.org website).
  • Conduct, with the help of the Cubmaster, periodic training for parents and guardians.
  • Cooperate with other Scouting units.
Positions A good pack committee consists but not limited to the following positions. Depending on how large the pack is, additional positions may be created to insure tasks completed.

  • Advancement
  • Public Relations
  • Membership & Registration
  • Outings Planner
  • Cubmaster (non-voting member)
  • Assistant Cubmaster(s) (non-voting members)
  • Den Leader Coach (non-voting member)
