The Process

Walking Through the Process
Our time tested process is designed to take you from concept to reality with courtesy and care.

The Questionnaire
We begin each consultation with a questionnaire as an aide to collect and organize information about your property, your objectives, budget and basic requirements. This will provide an initial point of discussion to begin our first conceptual designs.

Site Plan
Every lot is different; some are flat, some have hills, trees, or water features. We walk the site with you and research of all lot information available. Using the natural features of the property to layout the house location and drive access are typical objectives of the design process.

Sketching it Out
We typically work up concept sketches from your initial ideas to begin putting form and function on paper and to help you mold the design before the finer details are approached.

Preliminary Prints
As your vision solidifies, we’ll produce floor plans and elevations in scale drawings to allow you several opportunities to fine tune the work in progress. We have always used stock or modular dimensions, where possible, throughout our plans, one of the basic building blocks of "green architecture".

Working Drawings
Our working drawings are very complete and east to read by clients, suppliers and the building trades. Once they are completed, you will receive several sets of drawings with all the measurements and specifications needed to construct your home.

Site Visits
During construction, we visit local sites three times at no extra charge to keep the building of your home in tune with your vision.
