CUT OLD T SHIRT : THE BEATLES ABBEY ROAD T SHIRT
Cut Old T Shirt
- A short-sleeved casual top, generally made of cotton, having the shape of a T when spread out flat
- jersey: a close-fitting pullover shirt
- T Shirt is a 1976 album by Loudon Wainwright III. Unlike his earlier records, this (and the subsequent 'Final Exam') saw Wainwright adopt a full blown rock band (Slowtrain) - though there are acoustic songs on T-Shirt, including a talking blues.
- A T-shirt (T shirt or tee) is a shirt which is pulled on over the head to cover most of a person's torso. A T-shirt is usually buttonless and collarless, with a round neck and short sleeves.

Bush-N-Bones Latex Paint Stencil T-Shirt
Example of a t-shirt made with latex house paint and a paper stencil. I cut out the design with an exactoblade from a thick piece of paper. I inserted some newspaper inside the t-shirt ti insure no paint bleed through to the other side and taped the cut-out stencil in place on the shirt. Then, i used an .5 inch brush to paint in the stencil using glossy white house paint. Removed the stencil and let the wet shirt dry in the sun before washing it. The paint stays in the shirt, just like it would if you got paint on your cloths and didn't immediatly rinse them out. I painted the design on both sides of the shirt, one was painted on thicker, so you can see how the paint fades over time when it's not as thick. This "print" is a few years old and has been washed many, many times and the design has held up well. You can see some thicker patches on the design where I painted the house paint on pretty thick. Some places where it was really thick have peeled and cracked some over time, which you can see in the close-ups. (NOTE: I didn't design this image, you can freely download a stencil template of this design at protest records.com)
Stained t-shirt recycled
Here's a gift for my son. This was a stained white t-shirt I got for 25 cents. I stenciled the ostrich, then tie dyed it, then cut off the legs from ds' old too small jammies and used stitch tape to add them to the sleeves. Total cost of the entire shirt: 25 cents.
