Ladies and Gentlemen,

At our last meeting in June, we discussed teaching fly fishing at the park on Wednesday nights.  Would anyone be interested in helping teach fly fishing at 7 pm at either Sloan's Park or Leo A. Panda Park? We will need to have at least 3 or 4 instructors for each Wednesday in July and August. We'd like to do at least 4 Wednesdays, more if we get enough instructors.

Please fill out the poll, adding your name and the dates you're available or if you cannot help.

This will be a great opportunity to encourage people to take up fly fishing and in turn support our cold water fisheries. Please volunteer if you have time, we could really use everyone's help. Once we get enough volunteers I will post a schedule.

Thank you all so much for your support.

Casting for Recovery

Here is a link to the webpage describing the Wyoming CFR program.

Casting For Recovery Wyoming

I am writing to you for 3 reasons:
1.  To inform you about the Wyoming CFR Retreat in 2014.  If you know any women who would like to attend, they can submit their application online at
www.castingforrecovery.org.  I have also attached a 2014 Retreat Information sheet.

2.  To offer a speaker for one of your meetings  who can tell you more about CFR.  At the meeting, we will discuss the CFR program and volunteer roles such as River Helper/Guide.  The speaker will be a member of our volunteer staff and/or a past participant.  During 2013, we were able to attend 3 TU meetings around the state.

3.  To ask for a donation to the CFR Wyoming Program for the 2014 Retreat.   We raise all the money for the retreats each year.  We do not receive funding from the national organization so every contribution makes a difference to us.  If you would like to make a donation, you can do so online at or by sending a check to Casting for Recovery, c/o Mary Turney, Box 733, Dubois, WY  82513.

If you are interested in having a speaker at a meeting or have any questions, please contact me.  All the best to you in 2014!
