The 7th annual oizuki practice for 2013 will be held on Saturday January 5, 2013 at 3 pm in the Aerobics Studio at the Northwest YMCA, 20803 Alves Drive, Cupertino, CA

"Firsts" of the year are important Japanese traditions that are believed to set the tone for the rest of the year. We will make 2013 oizuki as one of our first practices for 2013. As Sensei has said, "Oizuki is Shotokan's technique."

A habit is an acquired pattern of behavior. It takes many repetitions of the behavior for it to become a habit. Building a habit is like weaving a rope. Each repetition is like adding a strand of thread to your rope. Ultimately, your habit can either help you climb higher, or, tie you down.
