Scoil Mochaomhog Naofa v St Mary’s Clonmel
It was Tuesday 30th of April and we had a match in ClonmelGAA pitch. We left school at about 12.15 and when we got there we went into the dressing room and got togged out.Then we went out to the field and did some hurling drills. The referee’s name was Willie Barrett. At 1.15 the match betweenScoil Mochaomhog Naofa and St.Marys School began. Jack Morrissey got the opening goal and then Diarmuid Maherscored a point. It hit the crossbar and went over. The first half finished 1-1 to 0-0. The second half began and St. Marys got their first score when they got a goal and another point. ThenMax Hackett got blocked down but he still drove it over the bar. The ball was out field for a while but St. Marys got on top and scored a goal and 3 points. Max Hackett replied with a free from midfield and then Max got another free from the back line. This time he lobbed it into Diarmuid who caught it and scored a goal. Max got to the puck-out again, soloed up the wing and stuck it over the bar. Darren Flood got the next puck-out and burst through the defence to stick it in the roof of the net. Finally St. Marys got another point before the final whistle blew. The final score was 4-4 to 2-5.
