Programming the next generation of inexpensive massively parallel hardware using CUDA.
Can someone get a PhD in Computational Sciences in 2 years using cheap massively parallel graphics processors?
Students in this IAP will have the opportunity to find out.
This class will provide students with hands-on experience in parallel programming on modern commodity graphics hardware. The course will cover the parallel programming concepts (threading, communication, and memory) needed to program massively parallel graphics processors using CUDA.
Students will gain hands-on experience designing and developing the final project of their choice on high-end graphics processor systems. The course will provide the students with up to 30 theoretical Teraflops and a MacBook Pro per project.

Today is the first session: CUDA@MIT "kick-off" starting at 10am in #32-155.
We'll briefly cover class logistics. David Luebke and Marc Adams from NVIDIA will give an overview of the technology while Hanspeter Pfister from Harvard will talk about High-Throughput Scientific Computing using CUDA. Be ready for the mind blowing live demos!
Lunch will be provided during the discussion session (12-2) and we'll then move on to the first HandsOn session in #32-141.
