  • For Adults and Older Siblings - Pack 962 UNLIMITED Class Rules and Guidelines Adults and siblings older than 10 years of age want to join in on the fun of PWD race day.  Who wouldn't?Cub Scout Pack 962 offers a special UNLIMITED class that allows adults and siblings over 10 years of age to build and race cars in the Pinewood Derby.  The rules for the UNLIMITED class (Adults and siblings older than 10) intentionally differ from the official BSA Pinewood Derby rules.  Please make sure not to confuse the two sets of rules.  The name of the game with the UNLIMITED class is creativity and wild customizations that aren't allowed by the official rules.  Participants compete for bragging rights and the coveted "Cubmaster's Cup" which is emblazoned with ...

  • Pinewood Derby Rules and Design/Construction Guidelines Pinewood Derby season is upon us!  The rules for the CUB SCOUT races have been finalized and are available here on the Pack website in the "Files" section under the "Pinewood Derby" folder.  Links to the CUB SCOUT Rules and the How-To document are also included below in this message.  Special thanks to Mrs Amy McDowell for updating the rules for 2014.The CUB SCOUT Rules govern races that Cub Scouts and Elementary School aged siblings (5th grade or age 10 and under) participate in.  Adults, den chiefs, and siblings older than 10 years old will participate in races that use the UNLIMITED Rules.  The UNLIMITED Rules are different from the CUB SCOUT Rules and still need to be ...

  • Pinewood Derby Clinic Postponed Loudoun County Public Schools have closed today due to the weather so we do not have access to the cafeteria, so the Pinewood Derby clinic that was scheduled for this evening is being postponed.  We are working on finding an alternate date and venue.  Details for the rescheduled event will be posted on this website and emailed out to the "AllPack" mailing list as soon as they are available.

Cub Scouting Means "Doing"

Cub Scouting is the branch of Scouting for elementary school aged boys between 1st and 5th grade. Pack 962 meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month, August thru May in the Lovettsville Elementary School cafeteria. Contact information is located on the "Contact the Leaders" page.
